Is this message real or a scam?
Paste a suspicious SMS, WhatsApp message, email or link. This scam checker looks for red flags in Urdu, Roman Urdu and English — all on your device, nothing is stored.
Runs entirely in your browser — your message is never stored or sent anywhere. It is guidance, not a final verdict.
Scam checker: questions
How does the scam checker work?
The scam checker reads the message on your own device and looks for more than 20 red flags used in Pakistani frauds: OTP requests, fake prizes, fake government links, urgency words and suspicious numbers. It then gives a risk score and tells you what to do.
Is my message saved when I use it?
No. It runs entirely in your browser. Your message is never sent to our server or stored anywhere.
Can it check Roman Urdu and Urdu messages?
Yes. It understands English, Urdu and Roman Urdu, because most scam messages in Pakistan mix all three.
The checker says “low risk”. Is the message safe?
Not always. The checker is guidance, not a final verdict. Never share an OTP, PIN or password, and confirm with the real organisation on its official number before you pay or click.
Three questions — even before the checker
Does it ask for a code, PIN or password?
Then it is a scam. No real organisation asks for these.
Does it create fear or urgency?
Pause. Call the real organisation on a number you already know.
Does it ask you to pay?
A fee to receive a prize, job or aid = scam.
